There are quite literally multiple thousands of people who are earning money on the internet every day. Many of them (like me) earn a pretty darn good living doing it, and some of them even make millions of dollars per year from their efforts. Those of us who do this are typically referred to as “online marketers” or “internet marketing business owners” or something else along those lines.
We tend to be a very passionate bunch who LOVE what we do! Ask any of us about our business and you will surely get a very excited answer. To put it quite bluntly… Being an Internet Marketing Specialist is awesome!
You might be wondering, why?
Each of us has our own specific reasons for why we started internet marketing businesses and why we love doing it so much, so there’s no exact answer. However, there are some fairly universal reasons that are almost always included in the answer to that question. And those are what I will be discussing in this post.
So, without further ado, here are just a few of the many perks of being an internet marketing business owner:
1) You Are the Boss
There aren’t very many people who enjoy answering to a boss every day, so it’s only natural that one of the major advantages of being an internet marketer is that you are your own boss. You only answer to yourself, so you get to work wherever you want and at any time you choose.
Of course, this isn’t for everyone because you really do need to have a lot of self-discipline in order to make sure you are actually getting work done. Your business won’t last long if all you do is watch TV or sleep all day.
As long as you are able to discipline yourself to get your business tasks done each day, the freedom of being your own boss is definitely a huge perk of making money online.
2) Work from the Beach
With an internet marketing business, you can pretty much work from anywhere you want. Most of us in the industry tend to work at home or from coffee shops on a daily basis. However, you could work from the beach, a park, or just about any other location of your choosing as long as you have internet access. You can also just roll out of bed and start working while you are still in your pajamas. There is no commuting or dress code. This is an amazing perk of internet marketing over regular offline businesses or most typical jobs.
One again, you do need to ensure you are self-disciplined enough to actually get work done. There are a lot of distractions at the beach, coffee shop, at home, or almost anywhere else you might choose to work from. So, you need to be sure you can put the distractions aside and run your business effectively.
3) Virtually Unlimited Income Potential
Another very big reason for getting into internet marketing is that you have nearly unlimited income potential. You are basically limited only by yourself and how hard you choose to work in order to continue growing your business.
It’s not unheard of for an internet marketer to make a Million Dollars or more on a single product launch, or to earn $10,000 per month from their blog, or to build an SEO empire that brings in hundreds of thousands of dollars in residual income every year, and so on. The examples could go on and on.
Obviously those income numbers aren’t going to happen right away. It takes time to build up your business to that point but it certainly can be done. And the best part is that at some point you will be able to work less while continuing to earn more and more money. That’s the beauty of passive income through online marketing!
4) Little to No Overhead Costs
Starting an internet business can be done for next to nothing. The overhead costs are very small compared to an offline brick and mortar business. There are only a handful of things you really need to spend money on so the total cost can range anywhere from as little as maybe $100 to $500 per month, depending on what resources you decide to invest in and a few other factors. I can’t think of any other way to build a real business for such a small investment.
As your business grows, you may want or need to spend more money on various tools, resources, websites, or even some employees. But at first you can get by without spending hardly any money at all.
Okay, there you have it, a few of the biggest perks of having your own internet marketing business. Of course, there are also many other incredible reasons to become an internet marketer and make money online, but those listed above tend to be used most often in discussions about it.
